The Ouroboros Cycle, Book One: A Monster's Coming of Age Story

The Ouroboros Cycle, Book One: A Monster's Coming of Age Story - G.D. Falksen, Lawrence Gullo, Fyodor A. Pavlov Absolutely wonderful in every respect. What isn't to love about sassy French heroines, plot twists that you weren't expecting, and wonderfully detailed landscapes? Also, vampires. That will never sparkle. Genuinely an utter favourite, I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series!
Look for Me by Moonlight - Mary Downing Hahn Absolutely adored this book in middle school when I first found it. I still have it and it holds amazing nostalgia points for me. It's what you might expect from a vampire book written for teens years ago, but as far as I'm concerned it still holds up and is a million times better than almost every vampire novel I've read in the past few years, minus a very slim few. It's one of the rare ones that has a vampire for exactly what you would expect them to be. Intelligent, charming, beautiful...deceptive and selfish. It's wonderful.
